So Right (ft. Tushe) is the second song from Ify Otuya’s debut EP E.D.M.O, a 19-minutes 2010 release containing a total of 5 tracks. E.D.M.O means the Eclectic Definition of Miss O and was titled to depict the diversity in Ify Otuya’s music influences and versatility of her rich music style and lyrics. Her influences on the EP range from RnB, Soul, Gospel, Pop and Afrobeat to Rap. The song So Right is a chirpy feel-good Afrobeats number recorded in Lagos, Nigeria. It differs from all the other records on the EP in being closest to modern afrobeats in sound. Although a producer, Ify didn’t produce So Right but her vocals are creatively put to good use on the recording’s lead and backing vocal lines. It is the only track on the EP where she features another artist and the first and only time another vocalist is heard on the EP. She shares vocal recording with Tushe her co-lead vocalist. It was never released as a single but the song was performed several times by Ify in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, sometimes to a backing track and other times to live instruments and a band.
